A technological disease

A technological disease.

I remember my father having a huge mobile phone with no great applications at all, some years ago. At that time, that device was as technologic as expensive. However, thing have happened to change for cell phones have become a global need. There is a low percentage of people who assume they can live without one.

Nowadays, cell phones are sold everywhere. Yet, this is not only about where you can find them, it also has to do with the possibilities to buy them. Stores offer a series of “facilities” in which you can pay monthly in order to decrease the amount of money that you will spend on the electronic device (this basically means going into debt).

But, why is it that having a mobile phone has become a need? This new marvelous devices have come to break the brick-phone down. Old cell phones had a weight problem, they ran out of battery very fast, they were made for making and receiving calls; not a great wonder whatsoever. On the other hand, the new ones are small gadgets with a lot of apps, almost a little computer that you can carry on the palm of your hands.
When it is all said, the decision is personal: is going into debt worthy? Are you capable to live without your mobile phone?
