Anti-pollution jacket

Everything has been affected by pollution and the effect that this has in our bodies is tremendous. That is why a company in Holland crated a new jacket that prevents humans from the direct contact with the daily pollution of cities.

This new generation of jackets is made-up of a surface made of gold scaled snakeskin. The most important features of this jacket go from air-quality sensor, that will notice if you are in a area with contaminated air, pollution filters and a respirator, which will help you to not breathe clean air even in very polluted areas.

In the past, leather was the fabric that was used to resist the abrasion, now the "Nieuwe Heren" the Dutch jacket, not only is abrasion resistant, but also possess a surface that repels bacteria and viruses. The inner fabric is designed to adjust the temperature of the person who is wearing it: the colder the environment is, the warmer gets the jacket in its inside.

Some of the most common substances that are found in the air in any common city are benzene, nitrogen oxide; every time when the jacket is in contact with some of these pollutants, the jacket will always send a message to the wearer, to let him know that he/she is in a dangerous area.

When it comes to health, this jacket will provide the safety that we all need: living in a big city gets complicated when the there are high levels of pollution in it but with this jacket everything gets easier.  The problem is that this magic product is not available for common people; it has not been mass-produced yet.

  1. Let me continue your idea with problem that may be brought up when having a conversation about this. The price. Have you ever realized this might be a bit exclusive?

I mean, the guy deserves an appaluse for inventing such a useful tool/clothing, but maybe he only thought of how making this a perfect item for common day wearing nd not how expensive it was becoming according to the material used for its making.

Is ordinary people going to be able to buy this? I wish people could have access to these inventions without being stopped by money shortage.

    1. Matias, but it's a good start in the fight against respiratory problems. I mean that from now on the efforts are going to be centered in the very aspects that you mentioned: materials and massification.

I'm really intrigued about something completely different: that "message" that is going to be sent to the wearer when the jacket gets in contact with one of the elements Miguel enlisted; if it is a sound, that thing is going to do a lot of noise, because we are 100% percent of the time in contact with pollution, not in big quantity but pollution after all.

    2. I can see you are not familiar with industril development, Pablo. Industry transform natural raw material into artificial items, and that process involves a whole thing of burning, sewing, cutting, etc; summing up, everything which involves an industril process provokes a certain way of polluting.

If the manufacturinf of this "wonderful" jacket is going to cost thousands of hectares of ntural woods or more funnels spreading toxic smoke, thanks, I don't want to invest nature in something mundane like this jacket.

    3. you get a point there, mister. I hadn't considered the enviromental issues, that producing this jacket might cause, and it isnt worth, I mean you still have to wear the jacket ALL the time in order to be productive, because as I said, we are in "contact" with dangerous elements almost all the time in a big city. Dutchmen, you can keep your jacket.

  3. It is a pity that this jacket is not in the shops yet since every time we go out home, we are exposed to dangerous pollution agents which are flying in the air. In fact, it would be advisable that we start wearing some special clothes to protect our skin from the harmful effects of ozone and dust which are the basic component of smog.
In this sense, if we had the opportunity to buy t-shirts and pants made in the basis of this technology, we could reduce the possibilities of developing skin cancer and eczemas.
