on this. I bet you were one of those that have spent ours and ours checking the
places you commonly visit on Google Maps just to find yourself fooling around. Even
worse if you were one of those who were trapped doing something your mother
would be ashamed of.
Well, the
Internet is here to take our privacy away and Google wants to make it clear.
There is no place you can hide now, we have your address, we have your photos,
we know what you like and we know how to use it.
Many Chilean
people would pay to have been born in Germany by these days. Germany is a good
example of the protection of the users' rights, an example we would be grateful
to see here. A government that protects the identities of their
inhabitants, demanding that every single face on the street view must be
erased. We are far away from that dream, even though we can still send our
concerns to the big G.
Furthermore
this is not a new problem, for the last decade privacy has been an issue. From Facebook
to Wikileaks, there are lots of cases in which this topic has been raised
without many conclusions, at least not in our favor. There is only one way, to
be extremely careful with our personal data, we still have some time, right?
